Public Consultation around Re-branding of Turangi Signage

Dear Taupo District Council,

I am writing to you under the Official Information Act to request the following information.

1. In what year was it decide to re-brand Turangi - including replacement of signage - from being known as "The Trout Fishing Capital of the World" to the "Source of the Lake"

2. What - if any- public consultation was carried out with the public and business owners within Turangi before this decision was made?

3. Any minutes or records of council meetings relating to this rebranding, to include the justification for this request.
