Costs to implement Online services
Leighton Fletcher made this Official Information request to Taupo District Council
The request was successful.
      From: Leighton Fletcher

    Dear Taupo District Council,
Under the LGOMIA I would like to request information regarding the cost in implementing automated online services.
In particular I request information regarding the cost to TDC (and hence ratepayers) for implementing the automated LIM processing feature - a Datacom Sphere product I believe.
What was the cost of external consultants - IT, engineers, etc
And what was the internal cost for TDC staff in implementing the service (i.e. staff time, etc)
I would like a breakdown of costs by consultant, and a total cost without any discounts (if any) applied.
Yours faithfully,
Leighton Fletcher

    Hi Leighton

Your email dated 14 March 2017 has been processed under the Local
Government Official Information & Meetings Act 1987.

Please see response to your request detailed below in blue.

In particular I request information regarding the cost to TDC (and hence
ratepayers) for implementing the automated LIM processing feature - a
 Datacom Sphere product I believe.
What was the cost of external consultants - IT, engineers, etc And what
was the internal cost for TDC staff in implementing the service (i.e.
 staff time, etc)
I would like a breakdown of costs by consultant, and a total cost without
 any discounts (if any) applied.

The total cost to implement the automated LIM processing system was
$193,229.71,  this included integration to Council’s document management
system and to the Customer Connect platform.  There were three consultants
involved as part of the project, Datacom, Objective and MagiQ.

Section 9(2)(b)(ii) of LGOIMA which relates to the commercial position of
Third Parties, allows for the withholding of information.  It is
considered that there is good reason to withhold the specific breakdown of
costs by consultant which outweighs the public interest to make the
 information available.

Internal staff costs were not captured for this project.

If you believe your request for information has not been adequately dealt
with you may complain to the Office of the Ombudsman, and their contact
 details are: Phone: 0800 802 602
