The request was partially successful.
From: K Gillies
Dear University of Otago,
On October 12th 2017 Lillian Ward made three requests to the a University of Otago for information on the student service fee increase. These requests were responded to by sending her the information privately.
I ask that the same

In response to your request relating to the most recent University Council meeting (12 October 2017), I attach the Part 1 Minutes of the 10 October 2017 meeting. I advise that there has been no discussion of student services fees and domestic tuition fees at previous Council meetings in 2017.

Prior to 2012 there was no requirement to report on the Fee and this information is not readily available. Financial reporting on the 2017 Fee will be included in the 2017 Annual Report which will be published in the first quarter of 2018.
The information on how the student services fee was allocated in 2017 and the proposed changes for 2018 (11 October 2017) are included in the attached Council Agenda paper on Compulsory Student Services Fees."
