I am interested in the average daily prison population and its demographic
make-up.

 

I understand that there is some detail on the Department of Corrections
website, but require further information.

 

Please provide me with the following:

 

The average daily prisoner muster broken down by financial year since
records began.

- Please break this down further by sex.

 

The average daily Māori prisoner muster broken down by financial year
since records began.

- Please break this down further by sex.

 

The average daily Pākehā/NZ European prisoner muster broken down by
financial year since records began.

- Please break this down further by sex.

 

The average daily Pacific prisoner muster broken down by financial year
since records began.

- Please break this down further by sex.

 

The average daily Asian prisoner muster broken down by financial year
since records began.

- Please break this down further by sex.

 

The average daily "Other" prisoner muster broken down by financial year
since records began.

- Please break this down further by sex.

 

I want to note the following things for clarification:

-I am requesting data which would show the number of Māori male, Māori
female, Māori unknown/unspecified gender, Pākehā male, Pākeha female etc.
etc.

-I am interested in the average daily prisoner muster, meaning the average
prison population for the given financial/fiscal year. I am not asking for
snapshot data. I am not asking for throughput data.
