G. Reed made this Official Information request to Ministry of Business, Innovation & Employment
The request was refused by Ministry of Business, Innovation & Employment.
From: G. Reed
Dear Ministry of Business, Innovation & Employment,
Could you please supply me, under the OIA, the average-per-immigrant dollar amount and also total dollar amounts brought into the country for long stay immigrants not coming in under an investor visa. For instance work, refugee or any other visa. Could you please give me those figures broken down per year over several years up to the present year or up to the last figures recorded and from last country of departure. If last country of departure is not feasible then over larger geographic region, ie: Asia, Oceania, Europe, Americas, etc.
Yours faithfully,
G. Reed

Then number of immigrants bringing in $200,000-$300,000 for each year over
last 10 years etc. If bin sizes not possible please provide information in
smallest realistically feasible bin size you can provide and advise that
you have done so.

Have contacted Ombudsman for their assistance as I don't find it credible that the NZ government is allowing long term immigrants into the country without proof that they can support themselves.
