Number of Head Office buildings
Andrew Crow made this Official Information request to Ministry of Social Development
The request was successful.
From: Andrew Crow
Dear Ministry of Social Development,
In 2015 I requested information about the new head office building.
In that response it was stated that MSD was moving to one building, down from 3 buildings.
The business case said that one building was more effective for staff collaboration and had savings associated with not needing to move between buildings.
I have heard that MSD head office is now spread across 6 buildings.
Under the OIA I request:
1. Any documents that relate to why head office needs to be spread across 6 buildings.
2. Any information about the lost productivity of staff walking between 6 buildings.
3. Any information about why MSD can't fix all staff in the one building as described in 2015 OIA response.
4. Any emails from staff to the CE or the relevant DCE where staff have given negative feedback about the situation of 6 buildings.
5. Any other documents you feel you help the public better understand the cause of needing staff mixed across 6 buildings, and the lost productivity of this.
Yours faithfully,
Andrew Crow
