Dear Abortion Supervisory Committee,

I would like to make a request under the Official Information Act expanding on Adele Redmond's 2015 OIA request regarding the number of women denied abortions in New Zealand.

May I please have a breakdown of abortions both performed and denied in New Zealand for the last five years, by DHB, woman's age bracket, woman's ethnicity, and the number of previous abortions and live births of the women who had abortions.

I realise that this breakdown may create numbers too small to be safely released (as I understand it, the convention is to redact figures smaller than 6), in respect to women's privacy. If this is the case, I would appreciate the contact details for an analyst who can advise me on an appropriate level of aggregation to maximise the value of the data whilst protecting the privacy of people who have had abortions.
