Total number of children who CYFs knowingly leave in the care of parents who are Methamphetamine users

Dear Child Youth and Family,

I would like to request the following information:

1. the number of children who are left in the care of parents/families who are methamphetamine users and this use is known to CYF;

2. the number of times CYF receive information about methamphetamine use about parents/families who are currently dealing with CYF;

3. the number of children who are removed from the care of the parent/s/families when Methamphetamine has been advised as being used;

4. How often CYF inform the NZ Police of Methamphetamine use by parents and of family members who are in the childs life;

5. What is the CYF procedure for dealing with parents and family members who are known to them as being on Methamphetamine and whether any corrective action is taken on the welfare of the child.
