Clarification on GST on ride sharing

Shradha made this Official Information request to Inland Revenue Department

The request was successful.

From: Shradha

Dear Inland Revenue Department,

I have one query, For example a driver invoice total fare of $ 100 to the passenger and then passenger paid $ 15 as a GST on that invoice but that $ 100 goes straight to the ride sharing bank account and after deducting 15% as their commission, they paid $ 85 to the bank account of driver and driver was GST registered and paid $ 12.75 to the IRD on what he got. My question is what about remaining $ 2.25 GST ($15-$12.75). who will submit this amount as customer paid on full fare?

Yours faithfully,
Shrady
