Requesting public submissions on the 2006 Department of Conservation Issues and Options paper which was part of the 10 year review of the 1994 Coastal Policy Statement.

George Young made this Official Information request to Department of Conservation

The authority would like to / has responded by post to this request.

From: George Young

Dear Department of Conservation,

My name is George Young and I am a postgraduate student at The University of Auckland, currently completing honours in Geography. My dissertation project is aiming to look at the area of surf breaks being incorporated into the New Zealand Coastal Policy Statement (2010) and other regional coastal plans. The purpose of this is to look at the movement of surfing activism and to look at its influence over policy.

I am requesting to be able to view copies of the public submissions on the 2006 Department of Conservation Issues and Options paper which was part of the 10 year review of the 1994 Coastal Policy Statement. I have been told by a researcher in the same area that those public submissions were available online via the DoC website but it know looks like that page has been retried as it is no longer on the DoC website.

Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions regarding my research project.

Yours faithfully,

George Young
