I am currently compiling whakapapa on my fathers side and would like information on my grandfather, who was a patient in Lake Alice mental facility in the 60's. I would like to know when he entered and when he died and what he died of.

Hi Billie – in response to your request I can confirm that your
grandfather was admitted 27/03/1969, he died on the 15/04/1969.
His death certificate indicates cause of death being:
1) Terminal Broncho Pneumonia 5 days
2) CVA 2 weeks (stroke)
3) Generalised Arteriosclerosis 10 years ( hardening of the arteries)
4) Senile Dementia 1 month
