Testing in Taukau for RCD

Dear Minister for Primary Industries,

Could you please confirm reports that the carrots removed from Taukau by Massey on or around the 29th January that killed over 102 pet rabbits tested positive for the Rabbit Haemorrhagic Virus.

Could you also please confirm whether or not the chief technical officer approved the release by the market gardener in Jerrico road, in accordance with sections 52 and 53 of the bio-security act.

They only checked for chemical storage, they did not and do not have a method for checking if a dead infected rabbit carcass was used.
As this virus is reportable under World Health Organisation rules, this is a pretty bad show.
