The deliberately biased, misleading and innacurate MSD document submitted to the UNHRC.

Robert Newcombe made this Official Information request to Ministry of Social Development

The authority would like to / has responded by post to this request.

From: Robert Newcombe

Dear Ministry of Social Development,

My FYI request request to find out who was responsible for the 48 page document titled ARNESSEN COMMUNICATION submitted to the UNHRC revealed that it was the MSD.

In the opinion of many of the group of us referred to in the document, it can only be described as a deliberate, grossly inaccurate and misleading document designed to deny us a true, accurate and fair hearing over the government's use of Section 70.

I believe it was a biased defence of the government’s continued use of Section 70 to legally deny over 81,000 elderly the right keep overseas government pensions that have been paid for out of earnings.

The document’s greatest crime is the omission of any information relating to the MSD’s own reviews that concluded Section 70 is “outdated and inequitable”
and is a travesty of justice and should have been submitted as democracy and truth required.

Under the OIA I would like a copy of those parts of the document that refer to my wife and I Robert and Janice Newcombe to determine whether or not the facts about our submissions were correctly stated.

Yours faithfully,

Robert Newcombe
