Royal New Zealand Chaplains Department (RNZChD) Corps Fund - Chapel Prints
Rev. Hamish Kirk made this Official Information request to New Zealand Defence Force
The request was successful.
From: Rev. Hamish Kirk
Dear New Zealand Defence Force,
Request Background
All Army Chaplains are commissioned into the Royal New Zealand Chaplains Department (RNZChD). Most Army Chaplains are financial members of the RNZChD Corps Fund- a Non Public Fund within the NZDF.
About 15 years ago, an exiting Chaplain generously donated prints of the various camps and base chapels to the RNZChD Corps Fund to present to financial members of the fund upon leaving the RNZChD. That donor chaplain has intimated that he had entered into a Deed of Gift with the RNZChD Corps Fund.
Request
1. I request a copy of the Deed of Gift.
2. I seek official information as to where the original prints are now stored within the NZDF and who or which unit is responsible for their care.
3. I would like a copy of the minutes of the RNZChD Corps Fund meeting from 2008 to 2025.
Yours faithfully,
Rev. Hamish Kirk
