Dear University of Waikato,

Could you please provide the minimum and median GPA of students who were on the 2023 Pro Vice-Chancellor's List for Academic Excellence (for the division of Arts, Law, Psychology and Social Science)?

Could you also provide the total number of students, the minimum and median GPAs on the list separated by degree (e.g. BA, BSc, LLB)

We acknowledge receipt of your official information request received on 3 April 2026 for information relating to the minimum and median GPA of students on the 2023 Pro Vice-Chancellor’s List for Academic Excellence, including total numbers and GPA breakdown by degree (Arts, Law, Psychology and Social Science).

 We will endeavour to respond to your request as soon as possible and in any event no later than 20 working days after the day your request was received.

Kia ora Dominique
For the PVC Academic Excellence Certificate in 2023, we sent out 149
Certificates to students in ALPSS with a GPA of 8 and above.
From 2024 it was changed to a GPA of 8+.  Dominique, if you require
further information, I can send you the spreadsheet.
