Dear Ministry for Culture and Heritage,
Thank you for your recent reply- DOIA25 120. I note your comment that “instead, candidates were selected from sources such as the Ministry for Culture and Heritage candidate pool.”
Could you please provide further details about this candidate pool, including:
How many individuals are currently in the pool
How candidates are selected from the pool during this round
Whether there is a priority list or similar ranking system in place
Additionally, do you maintain any demographic or status information about the pool (for example, gender representation or other relevant attributes)? If so, I would appreciate it if you could outline what information is held on file.
Finally, could you please advise how individuals are able to join or be considered for inclusion in the candidate pool?
Yours faithfully,

Subject: Official Information request - DOIA26 004- updated
Dear Ministry for Culture and Heritage,
Thank you for your recent reply- DOIA26 004
"Instead, candidates were selected from several sources, including the
Ministry for Culture and Heritage nominations register, which comprises
members of the public who have expressed interest in Crown board roles,
individuals considered suitable from previous nominations, and nominations
from caucus and coalition party colleagues. For these appointments, the
Ministry received nominations from the following sources"
Could you please advise how many people are currently listed on the
Ministry for Culture and Heritage nominations register?
Do you collect additional information for the register, such as gender,
ethnicity, or other demographic details? If so, please provide a
percentage breakdown (for example, how many are male, how many are female,
etc.).
Please also explain how candidates are selected from the register. Is
selection based on a review of CVs, or is any form of automated system
used?
Finally, when you refer to “individuals considered suitable from previous
nominations,” please clarify what criteria or process was used, and how
far back these previous nominations extend.
Yours faithfully,
john luke
