New Zealand Army order of battle
Stanley Bannerman made this Official Information request to New Zealand Defence Force
The request was successful.
From: Stanley Bannerman
Dear New Zealand Defence Force,
I am writing to request information under the Official Information Act 1982.
I would like to request a current order of battle for the New Zealand Army down to company level, similar in scope to those previously published by the NZDF such as as:
https://imgv2-1-f.scribdassets.com/img/d...
If a full ORBAT is not available, a simple up-to-date list of units (regiments, battalions, companies/squadrons and equivalents) would be appreciated.
For context, I understand that Queen Alexandra’s Mounted Rifles has been amalgamated with 1 RNZIR; and it would be informative to understand how this has affected the Army's current structure.
Furthermore, could you please confirm whether the Royal New Zealand Armoured Corps remains active, restructured, or if it has been disbanded? Likewise, could you advise on the current status of the Waikato Mounted Rifles (active, amalgamated, or disbanded).
Kind regards,
Stanley Bannerman
