Number and reasons for invalid Special Votes in 2025 Local Body Election

Paul Barlow made this Official Information request to Electoral Commission

This request has an unknown status. We're waiting for Paul Barlow to read a recent response and update the status.

From: Paul Barlow

Dear Electoral Commission,

I'm looking for statistical data on the 2025 Local Body Election.

Specifically I would like to know how many Special Votes were deemed invalid - Nationwide or by territorial authority.

I would also like a high level break down of the reasons given for these votes to be deemed invalid, and if possible to know which reasons were most common.

Yours faithfully,

Paul Barlow
