I noted, you have recently call for nomination for Reappointment / Appointments to the New Zealand Tourism Board

May I ask how you called for public nomination and on what platform you have call for public nominations e.g. govt.jobs website. A copy of your ad as well. Also, how many applications you have received from the public and how many you have received from other nominating agencies such as TPK or Ministry of women etc for your role. How many you have shortlisted and how many you have interviewed. Also, can I request to view the appointment letter if there is one sent to the appointee. I am happy for you to remove all the personal information.

Also, may I request the job description for the appointed role and what's pay rate?

Dear John,

 

Thank you for your email of 23 Aug 2025 to the Office of Hon Louise Upston
requesting, under the Official Information Act 1982 (the Act), the
following information:

This letter is to notify you that the Minister’s Office has transferred
your request, in full, to the Ministry of Business, Innovation and
Employment (MBIE). In these circumstances, I am required by section
14(b)(i) of the Act to transfer your request.

 

Please note that according to sections 14 and 15(1) of the Official
Information Act, the 20-working day response period is reset by the
transfer and starts again on the day MBIE receives the transfer
notification. The Office notified MBIE of the partial transfer today.

You will hear further from MBIE regarding your request, and they can be

You have the right to seek an investigation and review by the Ombudsman of
this decision, in accordance with section 28(3) of the Act. Information

29/08/2025 and is being processed in accordance with the Official
Information Act 1982. A response will be sent to you in due course.
