Cost Of New Classrooms

Phillip Hart made this Official Information request to Erica Stanford

This request has an unknown status. We're waiting for Phillip Hart to read a recent response and update the status.

From: Phillip Hart

Dear Erica Stanford,

A media release of 18 July 2025 indicates that 137 new school classrooms are to be built at a cost of $120,000,000:

When an entire 3 bedroom house can be built for less than $400,000 (excluding land) could you please advise how that using a "combination of cost-effective repeatable designs and offsite manufactured buildings" resulting in an average cost of $875,000 per classroom is delivering value for the taxpayer?

Yours faithfully,

Phillip Hart
