Employment (MBIE) requesting information regarding digital identity
credential for migrants.

 

Please refer to the publicly information available on the MBIE website,
specifically Cabinet Minute CAB-25-MIN-0034.01 [1]Our Future Services:
Detailed Business Case – Modernising the Immigration System End-to-End –
Minute of Decision (Updated) which notes that the business case includes
the potential to create a digital identity credential for migrants as part
of the programme, working closely with the Government Chief Digital
Officer (GCDO), but that the detailed scoping has not yet been completed
and that the necessary identity verification prerequisites will be
implemented in phase two of the programme.
