I am writing regarding your recent OIA request in which you have sought
information concerning the 2024 Grade Distributions.

To ensure we can provide you with accurate and relevant information, we
kindly request further clarification on your request. As currently
phrased, the request is somewhat ambiguous and may be challenging to
fulfil as intended. Additionally, addressing the request in its present
form could require significant collation and research, and/or may incur a
charge to provide.

To assist us in processing your request more efficiently, we would
appreciate your guidance on the following:

 

Following our review of the available data, we recommend refining the
scope of your request to include only 100-, 200-, and 300-level courses
with letter grades (A+ to F).

 

This recommendation is based on the following considerations:

 

 1. Grading Format: A substantial number of 000-level and postgraduate
courses are assessed on a pass/fail basis. Since these courses do not
receive percentage marks, we are unable to calculate average grades or
standard deviations.
 2. Incomplete Data: Several postgraduate course results for 2024 remain
pending, particularly those involving research reports and theses,
which require extended assessment periods.

 

Thank you for your cooperation, and I look forward to your clarification.
Once we have that we will be able to scope the request more accurately. We
will write back to you if your clarification still takes significant time
to process.
