Additional fees over your normal texting charge may apply and not all programmes use this service. We always read your texts, however it is not always possible for presenters to reply. Please note: texts cost 20 cents per text and goes to the provider of the service, not RNZ.

Thank you for the prompt response, however it does not answer the question of why no revenue is gained by RNZ.

It's a service provided by the telcos, which enables us to receive texts from our listeners, but they receive the income for making the service available.
