Protection of New Zealanders from danger of 787s

From: Richard Wang

Dear Civil Aviation Authority of New Zealand,

In the wake of the horrific crash with everyone on board and many on the ground perishing as a result of the crash of the Air India 787-8 with the dangerous GE engines near Ahmedabad, what, if any, actions is the CAA taking to protect New Zealanders from the danger of 787s, particularly those with the low quality GE GEnx? I understand that Air New Zealand under CEO Christopher Luxon chose to buy from Boeing with the same inferior GE engines as Air India bought, but fitted to larger 787-10s.

1) Will Luxon's 787s be grounded until the cause of this horrific crash is identified?
2) If not, what actions are being taken to mitigate the risk to Air New Zealand passengers and the general public from Luxon's 787s?

Yours faithfully,
Richard Wang
