I made essentially the same request to Treasury and to the Minister of Finance. It may be that the response by Treasury has been attached to the request to the Minister of Finance.

Dear Ministerial Services Inbox [TSY],

On 16 May I lodged the following information request with Treasury:

"Please provide copies of all communications since 1 November 2024 to the Minister of Finance or her office in relation to attendance of people at the December 2024 HYEFU 'lock-up' and next Thursday's Budget 'lock-up'.

"Note that 'communications' includes verbal messages, phone calls, and texts in addition to emails, briefings, and the like."

On 16 June I received information from Treasury (your reference 20250341) that purports to be a response to a separate information request I made to the Minister of Finance. This was received a few days after the Minister's office had advised that a response to my request to the Minister would be delayed until mid-July.

I am seeking clarification over the information provided by Treasury on 16 May, specifically is what was provided a response to my request to Treasury or a response to my separate request to the Minister of Finance.

The important difference between the two information requests is the the request to Treasury was for copies of communications TO the Minister of Finance or her office whereas the request to the Minister of Finance was for copies of communications TO The Treasury.

Looking forward to your clarification over this.

Thanks
Andrew Riddell
