I write further to your request for information dated 6 March 2025.

In relation to our response, it is necessary for us to apply an extension
of time under s.14(1)(b) of the Local Government Official Information and
Meetings Act 1987 (LGOIMA).  This is because consultations necessary to
make a decision on the request are such that a proper response to the
request cannot reasonably be made within the original time limit.

 

Having regard for the circumstances, we consider a period of ten working
days from the original deadline 3 April 2025 is reasonable.  This means a
decision on your request for information must still be made as soon as
reasonably practicable, although the new statutory deadline will now be 17
April 2025.

 

You have the right to complain the Ombudsman regarding the application of
this extension.   Information about how to make a complaint is available
at [1]www.ombudsman.parliament.nz or Freephone 0800 802 602.
