Subject: Official Information request - Proactive Release of Ministerial Diaries

Good afternoon,

Under the Official Information Act 1982, I would like to request a copy of your Government's policy on the proactive release of Ministerial diaries.

Under the Labour-Greens-NZFirst Government in 2018, a new policy for Ministerial diaries was introduced which required Minister's to publish a monthly summary of their engagements. This summary was required to be published within the 15 business days following the end of the month:

These Ministerial diary summaries are an important resource and there is public interest in the regular publication of Ministerial engagements. Recently, I have found that Ministers have not been updating their diaries regularly and I have needed to request this information via the Official Information Act instead.

I recently made such a request to Minister Erica Stanford, for her engagements in November and December:

As of today, 04 March, Minister Stanford's monthly summary for December is still not publicly available on the Beehive website. This is well outside the 15 business day deadline, therefore I wanted to enquire whether the Ministerial diary policy has been changed or whether the previous precedent still stands?
