Hello James

As outlined in our letter to you dated 5 February 2025, the extension is
necessary because consultations needed to make a decision on your request
are such that a proper response cannot reasonably be made within the
original time limit.

We will provide our response to your OIA request on or before 19 February
2025.

Kind regards

Dear Enquiries,

Thank you for your response.

Regarding part 3 I did not ask what was publicly advertised, I asked what candidates were advised. For example if they enquired or if an offer was made. Similarly I asked what the PSC was advised as part of their recruitment process. If you are refusing it on grounds that it does not exist, that means that no agency indicated what the role salary range was. Can you please clarify for me? Does the PSC then determine the salary based on size of role as you say? Is this number reached without consultation with the agency you are recruiting for?

Yours sincerely,

James Webb

Hello James

Thank you for your follow up email.

Te Kawa Mataaho Public Service Commission (the Commission) does not hold
record of potential candidates who enquired about the remuneration for
Chief Executive roles.

The Commission does not consult with agencies when setting the salaries
for individual chief executives.  As outlined in our response, the Public
Service Commissioner engages a provider to independently size the
different roles for which he is responsible then sets the salaries on
appointment in accordance with role size and having regard to the
Government’s Workforce Policy Statement.

Kind regards
