Dear University of Otago,

I am writing to request information under the Official Information Act regarding the halls of residence at the University of Otago, held with the Otago Student Accommodation Centre.

Specifically, I request:

a. the total number of applicants placed on the waiting list initially in the 2024 initial offer stage (i.e. did not receive any offer after the initial round of offers which has now been sent.)

b. the total capacity of all of the University of Otago's halls of residence's combined for 2025 (i.e. the universities estimated maximum capacity for 2025). If this information is not available yet, please provide the data for 2024 instead.

I acknowledge your response to the request made by user "John" on 20 August 2024, however due to the difference in nature and time that the data is being requested, along with the provision of this same data being provided by comparable New Zealand Universities, I kindly request that this data will be supplied fully and accurately.
