Peter W French made this Official Information request to Queenstown-Lakes District Council
Queenstown-Lakes District Council did not have the information requested.
      From: Peter W French

    Dear Queenstown-Lakes District Council,
Queenstown Lakes District Council [QLDC] should hold readily available statistics - including financial information - on "parking ticket" money received due to CCTV monitoring, and the statistics should be broken down for each relevant camera.
QLDC states at this link ["Link 1"] - https://www.qldc.govt.nz/services/cctv-p... - "Click here for a map of current locations of all CCTV in the district." Clicking there leads to this link ["Link 2"] - https://qldc.maps.arcgis.com/apps/instan... which makes available the names and locations of 203 CCTV cameras. Please see a list of those CCTV cameras further below.
In terms of the Official Information Act 1982 (and any other relevant legislation), please:
1) Confirm that all current "public use" CCTV cameras monitored by QLDC are shown at Link 2. If there are any additional CCTV cameras that have been omitted - apart from the four additional CCTV cameras detailed at Link 1 - please provide names and locations of those additional CCTV cameras.
And with regard to any "parking ticket" [as defined as a "STATIONARY VEHICLE OFFENCE INFRINGEMENT NOTICE"] issued by QLDC, please:
2) Confirm that images from "some of" (which might be just "a few of") those CCTV cameras have been used for the purpose of issuing one or more "parking ticket";
3) Identify (e.g. from the list further below) those CCTV cameras which - since their installation - have been used at least once for the purpose of issuing a "parking ticket".
And for only those CCTV cameras which have been identified as having been used at least once for the purpose of issuing a "parking ticket":
4) For EACH of those cameras, please advise:
     a) its name;
     b) its location (if that is not clear from its name);
     c) the installation date of that camera;
     d) any alternative name/label that QLDC uses for that camera;
     e) the number of "parking tickets" issued by QLDC - for each financial year (since the camera was installed) - using images provided by that camera;
     f) the amount of "parking ticket" money invoiced/received by QLDC - for each financial year (since the camera was installed) - due to the use of images provided by that camera.
LIST OF CURRENT CCTV CAMERAS (according to QLDC website):

Subject: Official Information request - CCTV "parking ticket" money -
 statistics for each camera
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
Dear Queenstown-Lakes District Council,
Queenstown Lakes District Council [QLDC] should hold readily available
 statistics - including financial information - on "parking ticket" money
 received due to CCTV monitoring, and the statistics should be broken down
 for each relevant camera.
QLDC states at this link ["Link 1"] -
 [13]https://www.qldc.govt.nz/services/cctv-p... - "Click here for a
 map of current locations of all CCTV in the district." Clicking there
 leads to this link ["Link 2"] -
 [14]https://qldc.maps.arcgis.com/apps/instan...
 which makes available the names and locations of 203 CCTV cameras. Please
 see a list of those CCTV cameras further below.
In terms of the Official Information Act 1982 (and any other relevant
 legislation), please:
1) Confirm that all current "public use" CCTV cameras monitored by QLDC
 are shown at Link 2. If there are any additional CCTV cameras that have
 been omitted - apart from the four additional CCTV cameras detailed at
 Link 1 - please provide names and locations of those additional CCTV
 cameras.
And with regard to any "parking ticket" [as defined as a "STATIONARY
 VEHICLE OFFENCE INFRINGEMENT NOTICE"] issued by QLDC, please:
2) Confirm that images from "some of" (which might be just "a few of")
 those CCTV cameras have been used for the purpose of issuing one or more
 "parking ticket";
3) Identify (e.g. from the list further below) those CCTV cameras which -
 since their installation - have been used at least once for the purpose of
 issuing a "parking ticket".
And for only those CCTV cameras which have been identified as having been
 used at least once for the purpose of issuing a "parking ticket":
4) For EACH of those cameras, please advise:
 a) its name;
 b) its location (if that is not clear from its name);
 c) the installation date of that camera;
 d) any alternative name/label that QLDC uses for that camera;
 e) the number of "parking tickets" issued by QLDC - for each financial
 year (since the camera was installed) - using images provided by that
 camera;
 f) the amount of "parking ticket" money invoiced/received by QLDC - for
 each financial year (since the camera was installed) - due to the use of
 images provided by that camera.
