Dear requester,

I refer to your request of 13 June 2024 under the Official Information Act 1982 ("OIA"). The University has previously provided statistics about mean GPAs of applicants by UTAS category, but we do not hold the mean GPA of each UTAS category further broken down into "successful" and "unsuccessful" applicants. The OIA does not require the University to create these statistics in response to your request. Your request is refused under section 18(g) of the OIA.

Note that, where statistics are held by the University, we would refuse to provide the information about small groups of applicants as necessary to protect the privacy of those applicants under section 9(2)(a) of the OIA.

You have the right to make a complaint to an Ombudsman if you are dissatisfied with this response.

Yours sincerely,
