Dear Government Services,
Re: Initial Request dated 12 May 2015 and further follow up request by ACC 25 May 2015
With respect and good intentions, I require the earlier request to be fulfilled completely. This is to assist in an on-going project where Mild Traumatic Brain Injury and post-Concussion syndrome is concerned.
Because of the nature of ACC’s input into New Zealand’s well-being i.e. Prevention and Recovery for the fore mentioned issues, I think it best the ACC to be in a much better position than any other Corporation or Department to provide the necessary documents to assist and complete project.
The ACC have the monopoly input for prevention and care for mTBI/Post Concussion complication injuries and to be declined and/or denied the request would hinder a project that is considered necessary by my peers etc.
It is paramount for transparency and reassurance to obtain the following:
1/ current views and guidelines, the previous views and guidelines when the ACC was first established and the views and guidelines used chronologically thereafter the first beginning’s of the ACC in the 70’s.
I cannot assure the Corporation enough that I’m very mindful of resources, time and potential inconvenience, however given the immense recognition and public scrutiny of concussion over recent months, one must attempt to inquire all avenues to obtain in full the requested information dated 12 May 2015
Given the complex nature and consequences to Concussion injuries and the sufferers’ lives, I do not consider it unreasonable to potentially divert resources.
Yours sincerely,
Anthony Jordan
