Dear Tim,

Acknowledgement of receipt of request for information relating to Camping
ground licences (Our ref. 751).

We received your request on 11 June. We will endeavour to respond to your
request as soon as possible and in any event no later than 10 July 2024,
being 20 working days after the day your request was received, if we are
unable to respond to your request by then, we will notify you of an
extension of that timeframe.

Please note that the guidelines provide for Council staff to undertake an
hour’s work to collate information requested under LGOIMA at no charge. We
will assess the amount of time we envisage this request will take and
advise before we commence work if we expect charges to be incurred.

Please also note that in line with Official Information Act charging
guidelines, requests for information made in respect of a common subject
over intervals of up to eight weeks are aggregated for charging purposes.

Could you kindly provide a list of all camping grounds which Council has
issued a camping ground licence in the past 3 years in accordance with the
Camping Ground Regulations 1985

Please include relevant addresses for each camping ground and identify if
any camping grounds are operated by Council or subject to a lease with

The only one with a lease from Council is the Fairlie Holiday Park.  We
are in the early stages of developing a lease with Lake McGregor/Lake
Alexandrina.  Council does not operate any camping grounds.
