Could you kindly provide a list of all camping grounds which Council has issued a camping ground licence in the past 3 years in accordance with the Camping Ground Regulations 1985.

Please include relevant addresses for each camping ground and identify if any camping grounds are operated by Council or subject to a lease with Council.

Dear Mr Carter

 

I refer to your official information request dated 29 May 2024 regarding
Camping Grounds.

 

The information you have requested is as follows.

 

1)      Could you kindly provide a list of all camping grounds which
Council has issued a camping ground licence in the past 3 years in
accordance with the Camping Ground Regulations 1985.

 

2)       Please include relevant addresses for each camping ground and
identify if any camping grounds are operated by Council or subject to a
lease with Council.

 

1)            Whanganui Seaside Holiday Park, 1A Rangiora Street

2)            Whanganui River top 10, 460 Somme Parade

3)            Lakelands Holiday Park, 316 Kaitoke Road

4)            Caroline’s Outback Campground, 181 Somme Parade

5)            Kai Iwi Beach Holiday Park, 66 Mowhanau Drive

 

These 5 camping grounds are all currently licensed until the 30^th of June
2024. They have all have passed their annual inspections, and subject to
payment of registration fees, this will allow licensing for the period up
to 30^th June 2025.

 

Whanganui River Top 10 and Kai Iwi Beach Holiday Park are subject to a
lease with Council.

 

You have the right to seek an investigation and review by the Ombudsman of
