High school for Kumeu and Huapai
Yelena khalevina made this Official Information request to Ministry of Education
This request has an unknown status. We're waiting for Yelena khalevina to read recent responses and update the status.
From: Yelena khalevina
Dear Ministry of Education,
We have resided in Huapai for the last 7 years.
I have a year 4 and year 1 children at Matua Ngaru School - there are currently nearly 100 year 7 and 8 students at Matua Ngaru School and with current development of the area, this number will be growing fast.
Please provide an update on how the negotiations are going for a new High School in the Kumeu/Huapai area? What timeframe has the Ministry of Education set for negotiations to be moved to the next stages?
What is your plan for the current Year 6-8 students at Huapai District School?
Massey High School (the only zoned high school for our area) is already at capacity, so how do you plan to expand Massey High School when the new residential developments at Red Hills are completed? Apart from that, Riverhead, Huapai, Kumeu developments all have high density accomodation being built, and with huge development on Fred Taylor drive of equally high density buildings, what is the plan for high school accommodation that’s already cramping up Massey High School (with its roll being already quite high and it will negatively affect the quality of education).
I look forward to hearing from you.
A concerned parent,
Yelena Khalevina
