Dear Kaipara District Council,

A newspaper article in The Northern Advocate stated that a Waste to Energy
Plant could be operating in Kaipara by 2028 - with secrecy surrounding
possible locations.

1) Please disclose the sites being proposed for the Waste to Energy Plant

2) What financial interest does Mayor Craig Jepson or any elected
councilors have in this proposed plant?

3) Do any other elected councilllors & Craig Jepson have any financial
interest in the land the proposed plant will be on?

Thank you for your request for information relating to proposed sites for
a Waste to Energy Plant.  There are no proposed sites if a plant was to be
constructed.  The project is still very much in the collaboration stage
with the Northland and Auckland Mayors, and Northland Inc.  There is no
funding allocated or proposed therefore the Mayor or elected members have
no financial interest in the project.
