Dear Brooke van Velden,

In the annual report of May 2022, the Percentage of matters challenged to the Employment court from ERA determinations were:

2020 2021 2022
18% 17% 17%

Can you tell me what the percentage of challenges are made up for each office. So a break down of the Christchurch, Auckland office and Wellington out of the above percentages? So could these percentages be split up for each office.

Can you detail how many challenges from the Christchurch ERA office are for 2023.

How many of Members David Becks cases were challenged in 2021 through to 2024.

What is the comparison with other Members in Christchurch, Wellington and Auckland compared to David Beck?

Yours faithfully,

Peter

Dear TWSD Ministerial Services,

the time frames provided to me were unreasonable. I do not view my request closed due to your allocated timeframe.

Section 12(1) does not require me to supply such information. Agencies are entitled to make reasonable enquiries to satisfy themselves that a person is eligible to make a request under the OIA, but providing personal information does not fall within that ambit.

There would be no assurance that my personal information would remain secure and confidential.

I can assure the Agency that I am a New Zealand citizen born in Auckland and reside in New Zealand.

Yours sincerely,

peter
