As at 1 March 24 how many members of the NZDF do not have security clearances.

Please break these down into two main groups. Those who have had theirs expire and those who have theirs revoked.

Good morning Steven

The Official Information Act 1982 (OIA) requires that a decision on your
request be provided no later than 20 working days after the day your
request was received. Unfortunately, it will not be possible to meet that
time limit and this email is to notify you of an extension of the time to
make a decision, to 16 April.

This extension is necessary because consultations necessary to make a
decision on your request are such that a proper response cannot reasonably
be made within the original time limit.

You retain the right, under section 28(3) of the OIA, to ask an Ombudsman
to review the decision to extend your request.
