Dear Office for Māori Crown Relations—Te Arawhiti,
Regarding the Office's documentation on Whakatohea since 18/08/2017 (the signing of the Agreement In Principle) to the present date 21/01/2024, please provide all material not available on the Office's website touching on Whakatohea, including:
a. Advice/consultation on the Treaty settlement process/negotiations;
b. Correspondence with the Whakatohea Maori Trust Board;
c. Correspondence with the Whakatohea Pre-Settlement Claims Trust (and their negotiators);
d. Correspondence with the Whakatohea Post-Settlement Governance entity ('Tawharau' Trust);
e. Correspondence with the Waitangi Tribunal;
f. Correspondence with other government departments;
g. Correspondence with local government;
h. Correspondence with private property owners (eg. Tirohanga Beach Resort);
i. Correspondence with over-lapping Treaty claimants; and
j. Advice/consultation and correspondence on the Takutai Moana Marine and Coastal Area Act.applications and resulting court cases (Re: Edwards).
