Dear Kāinga Ora–Homes and Communities
please provide information on a development that was suppose to be contructed into two 2 bedroom duplexes & one 3 bedroom town house at Waiari street Conifer grove, Takanini, the estimated completion time was said to be end of 2023........according to KAINGA ORA.......public website.
We took a trip to the area & found that no development has even started as advertised;
We have contacted PM Christopher Luxon, prior to seeing the empty site, informing him that a client, who is currently in an emergency housing had an interest in the new development....at Waiari street Conifer Grove Takanini.
A WINZ case manager was asked to assist & support to make a request on behalf of the client to Kainga ora regarding the new housing development;
We seek information whether this public housing, which should have been developed on Waiari street was ever going to be developed & purchased by KAINGA ORA as it states..... and why has work not srarted on the empty site, and if no development was going to happen, why was the information not updated on your website.
Also provide us with the same information requesting above, relating to another developnent in the Thames area at Pleasure & Harvey road Thames.
A copy of this request will be pasted into an email to the PM & new housing minister.
We also inform you that we have looked at the PM 100 day action plan & know that two out of 25 of his plans, asks for an independent review of KAINGA ORA back office, financial situation, debt & asset management, staff with tenants, management etc....
Also as well as now giving priority to all those sitting in an emergency housing waiting to be housed, are now categorized as priority 1;
We request about why the developnents in the named areas above have not been developed, knowing there is a large waiting list......
Please provide official information relating to developments at:
*Pleasure & Harvey road Thames and;
*Waiari street Takanini;
Photos of the supposedly developed housing according to your website that showed pictures of what the completed homes were to look like & the information of completion date, was screenshot & sent to the Prime minister via email attachment.
We look forward to you responding.
Yours faithfully,
by: tina
