" Under the Official Information Act, I request

1. Any data on the amount of transgender people currently playing sport, at recreational and elite level 2, the details of any instructions issued to sports organisations and sports nz on withholding funding from sports who have transgender participants.

3, the details on how sports organizations would be able to police this and how sports who have transgender participants will lose funding

We will endeavour to respond to your request as soon as possible and in any event no later than 13/02/2024, being 20 working days after the day your request was received and taking into account the summer holidays (25 December to 15 January).

If we are unable to respond to your request by then, we will notify you of an extension of that timeframe.
