Barry Murphy made this Official Information request to Ruapehu District Council

This request has been withdrawn by the person who made it. There may be an explanation in the correspondence below.

From: Barry Murphy

Dear Ruapehu District Council,

I have seen an email which I cannot locate now, but ask for you to locate it.
The exact wording I cannot remember, however you should be able to find it quite easily with better search capacity than I have as many of the OIA's are unsearchable PDF files.

The email was from a councillor, mayor or staff member within council.

Wording was along the lines of "Council have applied to CIP on 13 occasions and Teitei is the only project it has not consulted on". I may be incorrect on the figure 13, but am sure it was close to this figure. Also the wording may have been "Crown Infrastructure" rather than CIP. Teitei may have also been spelt wrong. It's also possible the wording may have differed for consulting i.e. did not consult on.

I know it exists, so I ask you to locate this email and provide a copy and the email trail with it, i.e. responses, replies or previous messages in the thread.

Yours faithfully,

Barry Murphy

Dear Ruapehu District Council,

I found the wording I was looking for as per below item 5.8 (page 29 of 27th September 2023 agenda)

5.8 The Council identified in its covering letter from the former Mayor Cameron to CIP that of the 12 CIP applications submitted by Council, the social and affordable housing project was the only one that had not yet been through the necessary public consultation.

I had seen this referred to in earlier documents, and it will obviously be in the covering letter from former Mayor Cameron; so I still await this OIA to be fulfilled which is now long overdue.

Yours faithfully,

Barry Murphy
