Dear Ministry of Justice,

I request to know if statistics are held on the prevalence of prosecutions related to Cannabis possession, supply, growing etc, where the prosecuted claims medicinal use as part of the defense or as a mitigating circumstance.

I would like an annual breakdown of data, from 2004 onward, of a tally of those prosecuted claiming medicinal use in each calendar year, and of that count, how many were discharged without conviction, or found not guilty, based on the facts surrounding their medical conditions and the therapeutic effects, such as Ann Vernon, who was discharged without conviction on 2012..
