Dear Christchurch International Airport Limited,

I read with interest the write up in the Otago Daily Times of the presentation you made to the Wānaka business community this week. You are advocating strong growth in visitor numbers as both good for our community, and almost unavoidable.

I've also been watching the work of Informed Leaders, who first wrote to you in late January. These 12 (now nearly 80) scientists and researchers are saying that the airport proposal flies in the face of prevailing science and research.

Here's my OIA request:
- all notes, correspondence, reports, minutes and other records relating to Informed Leaders
- as above, but relating to any of the 12 original signatories
- details of the efforts Christchurch Airport has gone to engage the expertise, knowledge and research base these 12 signatories have access to
- details (time, date, meeting agenda, minutes, notes) of meetings Christchurch Airport has had with any of the 12 original members

You will understand that this is of super high public interest, for very obvious reasons.

Dear CIAL Legal Team,

Could you please just clarify, as I find this odd ...

Under request 1 a) you have no notes, reports, internal correspondence or minutes relating to the letters from Informed Leaders, or their media activity? They were making public statements about your Tarras project, and this has not been discussed internally? No internal memos or emails? No meeting notes?

This is not a new request. I am seeking clarity on this existing request, and I find it incredible that you have nothing on this.

Further, an additional point of clarification. Other than stating an "open door policy" are you saying that CIAL has made no further attempts to reach out to this group, or any of its members? Please double check and clarify. Not a new request.

Also, is there any reason that you have taken the full 20 working days to reply to my original question?
