This request has an unknown status. We're waiting for Kalan Baker to read recent responses and update the status.

From: Kalan Baker

Dear Ministry of Health,

Was at hospital recently with my type 1 diabetic wife.her sugars were running low and she needed sugar asap to avoid a hypoglycemic event. Went to the vending machine and cafe to sort some sugar only to find these such products are not available...what measures do you have in place for type 1 diabetic? I understand you have something on your agenda about obesity but sugars in my wives case is essential. Why do hospitals have something against diabetic? Why are high sugar foods not avaliable I feel like as a result of your fight against obesity you have neglected the needs of diabetics which at this stage is almost discrimination

Yours faithfully,
Kalan baker
