Definition of a woman

Josephine made this Official Information request to Ministry for Women

Response to this request is long overdue. By law Ministry for Women should have responded by now (details and exceptions). The requester can complain to the Ombudsman.

From: Josephine

Dear Ministry for Women,

Can you please provide for me the definition your organisation uses to identify a woman, when the definition became official, the process you used to agree that definition and what groups and individuals, if any, you consulted with when creating the definition. I am not seeking names of private individuals, however if any prominent individuals, especially if they have spoken publicly regarding how a woman is defined, were consulted, please provide their names.

Yours faithfully,
Interested citizen

The answer I received did not address any of the questions I asked in my request. I am contacting Ministry for Women to ask that they address my specific questions - in the meantime I do not consider the request closed or completed.
