Thank you for your email of 12 March 2023 requesting, under the Official
Information Act 1982 (the Act), the following:

 

“provide the email or website  of  Transport (Bus driver or Truck driver
hiring) companies of accredited employers under the AEWV scheme as at 12
March 2023.” 

 

Our Response

 

Please refer to Appendix One for a list of accredited employers with a
postal or road transport associated ANZSIC Sector as at 10 April 2023.
Please note: job sector data is not available for all employers. This is
due to various reasons such as employers belonging to multiple sectors,
the industry field being left blank at time of application or the industry
information not being held by the New Zealand Companies Office.

 

Your request for the employers website information is refused under
section 18(d) of the Act as the information requested is publicly
available. Additionally, your request for the email addresses of the
accredited employers is refused under section 18(a) of the Act by virtue
of section 9(2)(ba)(i) of the Act as it is necessary to withhold the
information being subject to an obligation of confidence and releasing
this information is likely to prejudice the supply of similar information,
or information from the same source, and it is in the public interest that
such information should continue to be supplied.

 

Please note: Before a worker can be invited to apply for an Accredited
Employer Work Visa (AEWV), employers must first apply for employer
accreditation, advertise the role and then apply for a Job Check.
