    Dear Jason,

I refer to your request of 26 February 2023. Mean and median marks are not
held for courses before 2016 Semester 2, and your request for these is
refused under section 18(g) of the OIA. Further, “final marks” are not
available for any University course. As stated in our standard disclaimer
for this kind of request for mean and median course marks:

“Grades, not marks, are the University's final measure of academic
assessment. Marks are used for initial calculation of grades (see
 [1]https://cdn.auckland.ac.nz/assets/auckla...)
but grades may be subsequently changed for various reasons, such as
aegrotat/compassionate consideration or academic misconduct. Grade changes
are not reflected in the marks from which these statistics are
 calculated.”

The other information requested is attached.

You have the right to make a complaint to an Ombudsman if you are
 dissatisfied with this response.

Yours sincerely,
