Fireworks call outs and incidents data

Dear Fire and Emergency New Zealand,

Would you please be able to provide the following information in relation to fireworks,

The total tally of firework related incidents by city/suburb/region for the years 2020, 2021, 2022.

Any fire fighters that were killed, injured or treated for smoke inhalation due to fireworks for the years 2021, 2022.

The total tally of children injured or killed by incidents involving fireworks for 2021, 2022.

Any data or tally of animals injured or killed due to fireworks for 2021, 2022.

How many buildings/houses/structures were damaged or destroyed by firework related fires in 2021,2022.

I also wish to take this moment to thank you and all your fire fighters and workers for your service, it is my hope in the future that fireworks are banned for public to purchase and use, thank you for considering my request,

I am writing to acknowledge receipt of your information request, dated 01
