Oversight of conduct by the RNZSPCA inspectors

Dear Ministry for Primary Industries,

as a follow on from the news item https://www.nzherald.co.nz/nz/exclusive-... which relates to breach of policy by MPI staff

Please provide details of breaches of policy, misconduct , in appropriate information access, unlawful search warrants and misconduct of SPCA inspectors and and staff for the RNZSPCA and its former member societites and branches.

How many inspectors have had their conduct reviewed and how has the MPI held the SPCA accountable to its MOU's and the proceedures which relate to it .

has the RNZSPCA ever advised of misconduct of its inspectors if so on how many occasions .and please provide the catagories of offending as has bene provided for the MPI staff.

We have started looking into answering your request but would appreciate
if you could provide a specific timeframe to help us in our search for
information. We would suggest a 5 year period.

 

Currently your request would be declined under section 18(f) of the OIA-
that the information requested cannot be made available without
substantial collation or research.

 

Could you please confirm whether this timeframe is sufficient by the end
of day Friday 20^th 2023.
